Policy-makers want evidence that tells them they can have it all – but we could face some difficult trade-offs as we try to solve the planetary and human health crises caused by food. Members of the EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health got together at the 2017 Stockholm Food Forum, to debate whether it’s possible to provide healthy and sustainable diets for all – and what those diets might look like.

Dr. Tara Garnett warned that “we may need less delicious food” in the future, while Dr. Sunita Narain says the key to changing the way we eat is “deglamorizing” ultra-processed foods.

The EAT-Lancet Commission was represented by: Professor Walter Willett, Dr. Sunita Narain, Dr. Juan Rivera Dommarco, Dr. Sonja Vermeulen, Dr. Tara Garnett and Professor Jessica Fanzo. See the full list of Commissioners.
